Exporting presets
User presets are stored in your home directory under:
~/Library/Application Support/Credland/BigKick
In the latest versions of MacOS this is a hidden folder. You can open it easily though. Go to Finder, from the Go menu select Go to folder…. Enter ‘~/Library’ in the box that appears and press enter.
Important: You need to include the ~ character. If you just see the factory presets you are in the wrong folder. There are two library folders, one shared one /Library and one per user ~/Library.
Windows: On windows try C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming though it will vary by version of Windows. Worst case search for BigKick in your home folder! Once I work out how Windows selects the right folder I'll get a proper list up here!
In the folder you’ll find all the presets you’ve created. The presets come in two parts:
- A folder ending in .data which contains the sample you used.
- A file ending in .preset which contains everything else.
Both parts are needed for a preset.
If you design some great sounds and would like them included with a future release of the product let us know. You'll need to send a ZIP file with your creations in.
