The radio needs to be able to connect to the Internet. So first check basic internet connectivity. If your computer appears to be able connect fine then look at your security software.
So far all users reporting this problem have been either:
- Using a the Windows firewall with a custom configuration or
- Using a third party firewall (e.g. ZoneAlarm).
And changing the firewall configuration has resolved the problem.
Note that the current version of Radio does not support working via an Internet proxy. This is probably only a problem if you are working at a large corporate or other institution which does not have direct connectivity to the Internet. We can add this feature in if there is any demand. E-mail us if this is a problem for you.
